The Math Can Take You Places materials are the perfect complement to any mathematics curriculum. The lessons, games, activities and assessment questions can be used to re-teach or enrich lesson activities focused on five of the hardest-to-teach mathematics concepts for 3rd-6th grade students: equivalency, measurement, patterns, problem-solving, reasonableness.
Lesson Plans
The 25 Math Can Take You Places lesson plans – all correlated to TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) – focus on each of the five concept areas. Although they are written for use with students in grades 4-6, the lessons can easily be modified to accommodate students of various skill levels. Each hands-on plan is divided into subsections for use as a unit or as individual parts to enhance your lessons.

The 19 hands-on Math Can Take You Places games and activities focus on particular grade-specific TEKS objectives. Colorful illustrations make the games and activities ideal for use with small, independent groups of students, or with the class as a whole.
